Green Element is a proud and certified BCorp and to celebrate the fact that February is BCorp month we thought we’d write an article about why we’re proud to be a BCorp.

Emma, Alex and Nidhee share why they’re proud to work for a BCorp

Emma Littlewood Green Element“I’ve always wanted to make a difference in my work and life, and with 13% of the world currently undernourished or starving, 65.6 million refugees displaced through war and persecution and an area of the Amazon rainforest the size of 50 football pitches being cut down for beef farming every minute, it’s vital to me to be part of a movement that’s striving for fairness, peace and a healthy planet.  This is what the B Corp movement is doing – genuinely extending companys’ responsibilities out from solely financial profit to include social and environmental profit – human profit and profit for the world we live in.”

Alex Green ElementIt is important for me because I believe all businesses have an obligation to society and to the environment. By being a BCorp I know that there is a commitment to operate with these areas guiding company decision making and strategic direction.

Nidhee Venkatesh

“I am proud to be working for a B Corp. I think it is so important for businesses to strive to make a positive impact in the world, and to focus on much more than just the bottom line – because life goes beyond only that. Accounting for themselves, incorporating good ethics, and paying heed to social and environmental issues, is what I think makes a robust 21st century business.”
