This month’s most legislation amendments: 

The Environmental Protection Act 1990 Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2019

Small amendments have been suggested to some of the definitions of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 relating to Scotland. The changes affect waste on land and the power of Secretary of State to require waste to be accepted, treated, disposed of or delivered. 

 The Waste (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Scotland) Regulations 2019

 Minor alterations have been suggested to two pieces of Scottish legislation. Definitions or revocations of regulations affected definitions in The Landfill Allowances Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 2005 and the ‘1994 regulations’ removed from The Waste Batteries (Scotland) Regulations 2009.

The Rural Affairs and Environment (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Wales) Regulations 2019

Changes were made to the Environmental Damage (Prevention and Remediation) (Wales) Regulations 2009. The amendments include additional information regarding reporting to authorities for enforcement.

The Pesticides (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

 Multiple amendments were made to a variety of UK and EU legislation relating to Brexit to rectify previous amendments. The Plant Production Products (Miscellaneous Amendments) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019. Changes we made to definitions and interpretations.
