Enters into force – 1 January 2017

The Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 consolidated and revoked the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 and all of its subsequent amendments. Duties under the regulations broadly remain unchanged. Additionally, the 2016 regulations revised the T17 waste management exemption and allow statutory undertakers undertaking dredging to do so without a flood risk activity permit.
