Project: Initial Environmental Impact Assessment

Objectives:

  • Advise on how EdComs can "Green themselves up"
  • Help implement a positive position on the environment, inline with many of their clients.
  • Increase their image and brand within the environmental world.
  • Engage their staff on environmental initiatives.

Approach and Deliverables:

  • Understand a complete Baseline Assessment
  • Advise on Energy Issues
  • Understand, Reduce and recycling all waste incl. legislation.
  • Introducing a low energy campaign
  • Advising on climate neutral projects
  • Advise on enabling more efficient Gas usage.
  • Understand the company culture, ensure a smooth running EMS.
  • Helping implement an ISO14001 action plan.

  • A positive environmental awareness campaign within the company and with its clients.

  • These are the initial steps that are formally needed for BS8555, ACORN, an officially recognised EMS standard recommended by the government; this standard offers accredited recognition for organisations evaluating and improving their environmental performance through the phased implementation of an environmental management system (EMS).
