Project 1 : Appointed to undertake an environmental research study to establish the environmental impact of the car manufacturing industry in Europe, North America and the rest of the World.


Objectives

  • To establish the CO2 footprint of a standard passenger car over its entire life-cycle, considering the amount of energy required to manufacture the vehicle.

  • Presented the findings of report to the research and development team
Results and Business Benefit
  • It allowed BP to better understand elements of the car manufacturing market to establish ways in which it could develop products to benefit that industry and reduce the impact on the environment.
